Thank you! I have two very low functioning classes and trying to get them to read parts was hard. This version is my favorite audio. It really helps them to understand.
The audio is playable through a Soundcloud embed. Unless you're up against a firewall, you should be able to simply click on the act you wish to play. You might also go directly to the Soundcloud page - https://soundcloud.com/tom-fasano/sets/the-crucible
Hi Tom, thank you for The Crucible audio recording. I've been using it for teaching the play in the last couple of weeks and all of a sudden, the playlist isn't available on Soundcloud. Is there any way to restore it? Thanks again!
Thank you for taking the time to share this with the masses. This is my favorite version, and giving access to these recordings has immensely helped my students.
Me again :) Whatever you did since my previous message fixed the issue! THANK YOU! I teach ESOL students & "average" American Literature classes and have used your audio recordings for the past few semesters because your files are easier to navigate than my cassette tapes (of the same version). So once again--THANK YOU!!!
I'm now using an HTML5 code to stream the audio. It may not work on all browsers, but I'm glad it's now working on yours. Let me know if you encounter any additional issues with it. . . . Tom
My students ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS VERSION. I was so sad because last semester I used your version on soundcloud and was so bummed when I saw it was no longer listed. I so glad I found it here. I have football players who beg to keep reading because of this audio book. Thank you!
For some reason, I cannot get the audio to work. I have tried in Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Firefox (blog doesn't exist there). But nothing will work. Suggestions?
I'm using HTML5 code to play the audio, which plays fine on the five different browsers I have on my iMac. I don't understand why you're having problems.
Thank you so much! It is working for me. I have a class that could not read this aloud with expression, but I really wanted them to follow the script rather than watch the movie. I bought an audio book on audible with Richard Dreyfuss, but I don't like it as much as this one. Thank you!
I have listened to this audiobook 47 times now and love playing it for my young students and soon my children hopefully, haha! Keep it up Mr Fasano, you little qt. xx
Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteMy students and I enjoy listening to it whilst following the script in the book.
I am no longer able to listen to the audio book, is there a problem? I was truly enjoying this audio reading. I hope it will be fixed soon.
ReplyDeleteI fixed the problem. You should be able to stream the audio now.

DeleteLinks are NOT working to hear audio.
ReplyDelete"Owner prevented downloads for this audio file." This is the message I received.
Same as above. The problem is now fixed.
Deletethanks a lot Thomas, hugues from Argentina!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic! My students really got into it last year, and so I'm using it again this year. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThe audio is wonderful; however, I cannot hear Act I. Can you correct this?
ReplyDeleteI've posted a Soundcloud playlist. This should work.
DeleteActs Two-Four are working for me, but Act One is not... Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI too have lower level readers that are hesitant to read aloud. However, the links won’t work. Any advice to access?
ReplyDeleteBummer! the audio is gone. It used to work. Any idea what's going on? Thanks

ReplyDeleteNever mind...I found Act 4

ReplyDeleteHi Tom, I see that it's back on. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteNevermind, found it in the soundcloud. Thank you for sharing this!
ReplyDeleteAct 2 Scene One (the brief confrontation between John and Abigail) is missing. Do you by any chance have the audio file for that one?
ReplyDeleteIs it Act Two? I don't believe Abigail is actually onstage during Act Two.
DeleteAct II Scene II is usually in the appendix and sometimes not shown in production. It is a confrontation between Abigail and John Proctor in the woods.
DeleteShe's not. I think she's thinking of the confrontation added to the movie version. : )

ReplyDeleteSo appreciate this audio file. It is so much better for the children to listen to than the textbook version. Thank you soooooo much.
ReplyDeleteThese files do not work for me!
ReplyDeleteThe audio plays through HTML5 code. It should play on most platforms. What device are you using?
